The Dolphin Runs

The Oahu crew is back together and it has begun; the trek across the lower US in the ’86 Toyota Dolphin. This home away from home tops out at around 65 mph on flat road and about 35 mph uphill. Haha, luckily, from Arizona on out it should be flat land. Lovely desert!

The Dolphin is equipped with a pull out couch, seating area with table where our 2 dog crates and luggage are stored, bathroom that doesn’t really work, stove that works, large bed, and opening to the driver and passenger.

Our first overnight stop was a little past Santa Barbara near the coast where the train track runs. We picked a spot where other truckers and RVs were. It turned out to be an amazing spot as we woke up to the view of the beautiful coast, took a stroll on the beach, and headed East to Tempe, AZ.

Early morning play time with Miloh

We’re relaxing in Tempe with my friends, Jen and Tim for a relaxing dinner, then tomorrow it’s off towards Roswell, NM. It’s approximately 8.5 hours, which probably means 10 hours Dolphin time. We’ll be sure to make some side stops and take some pictures. Aliens here we come!
