Country comes to Interlaken! Yup, y’all heard it right. It felt like Uhhh-merica at this festival. We even had some of the music artists from Tennessee in our white water rafting group.
This festival brings trucks from all around and it’s your typical Mid-State Fair except in Switzerland minus the Podunk accents. We cruised there after our rafting trip and we do apologise as we didn’t pay to get in. Apparently, the booth that read “konzerttickets” which we thought were only for concerts, also sold entry tickets. We ended up walking right in with no one checking us. If you ever go there, don’t do that; we did that on accident!
We only stayed about an hour because we got there so late. We walked around a little bit, but pretty much stayed in one spot stuffing our faces with roasted chicken.
We also experimented with some nighttime photography. Haha trying to take random photos posing in the middle of a crowd definitely turned some heads; especially when I’m shouting throughout the crowd for Michael to, “HOOOOLD IT!!! HOOOOLD IT!!! DON’T MOVE! GOT IT!!!”
It was great to see a typical American fair come to life in another country. I wish we could’ve seen more of it during the day, but there’s only so many hours we had in Interlaken. Maybe next year! Click here to see a few videos of the fair on their main festival page.
